NIEP is aligning workstream deliverables with the Government Construction Strategy through task group participation as a priority
A number of common themes and issues between the Infrastructure (IUK) and construction task groups (e.g. early contractor involvement, frameworks, performance management, data and cost benchmarking)
NIEP is consulting with colleagues from IUK on framework effectiveness (TG1) and cost benchmarking (TG4) to coordinate respective approaches and ensure current thinking and outputs are shared
As the task groups progress, the NIEP will become a vehicle for sharing best practice through the regions and will help facilitate implementation of GCS deliverables in the wider public sector.
